NaBloPoMo Day 4: Fall Entertainment | Pass the Popcorn

I am still going strong with my daily blog posts. Thank you for the inspiration BlogHer! Sending virtual high fives and thank yous to my fellow NaBloPoMo post every day tribe! It is still not too late to join the party. You have until midnight PST tomorrow, Nov. 5 to join the blogroll using the form which can be found  HERE - this will enter you into the sweepstakes to win a free pass to #BlogHer17 in Orlando next June. Here is today's writing prompt: Which fall shows should totally be canceled already? First off, I am not following any new fall shows. I am, and have been, a Netflix kind of gal. I like to find a show that I like and binge watch. Get this - we don't even subscribe to cable TV. We cancelled that noise years ago. We watch network shows/news sometimes. We stream Netflix or Amazon other times. Fall Family Photo (a couple of years ago) Since I cannot really speak on what show should be canceled, I will blog about what I am looking forward to watching (...

The Jungle Book. Bravo Favreau and The Perfect Cast!

Go see The Jungle Book in theaters NOW. I was so impressed with Favreau and the entire cast and crew of The Jungle book. I have seen it twice now (YES, we liked it THAT much). You must go out and see this in the theater ASAP. We will be adding this to our movie collection once the DVD hits stores. My son and I attended an early media screening of The Jungle Book on Tuesday, April 12. Our viewing was in 3D and it was visually stunning! After seeing this once in 3D and once in standard format, I must say that 3D wins all the way! Also showing in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D. Check your theater listings. The movie was exciting, touching, funny, scary, sad, and so much more. You'll feel like a kid with the wonder and magic of this production! The movie debuted on Friday, April 15. On Saturday, April 16, we (in a pack of 8 adults and 9 kids) went to see it AGAIN. It was the first for the rest in our party. It was a hit with the 17 in our group and box office results are showing that the...

Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection The Little Mermaid GIVEAWAY #disneymusic #enmnetwork

I received the Little Mermaid Legacy Collection CD as a member of the Entertainment New Media Network. No further compensation was received and all opinions are my own. Honoring the continuing legacy of the Disney music catalog, Walt Disney Records’ newly launched site, Disney Music Emporium (DME), is a destination for collectible Disney music products that also features monthly columns by guest writers, a News tab for fun Disney facts, plus videos that exclusively debut on DME including behind-the-scenes of beloved soundtracks, and more. I was thrilled to receive a copy of Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection: The Little Mermaid. The movie was released during my senior year of high school and I have seen it countless times since then! The beautiful book-bound two disc collectible set is AWESOME! While listening to the music it really brings back such fond memories of viewing the movie with my niece! She is now in high school herself! I can remember watching it with her ...

On The Road with Disney Social Media Moms in Phoenix #DisneySMMoms

As a blogger and big fan of social media, I make most of my connections online. When I have the opportunity to meet my colleagues in person, it's hard to pass up! At blogging and social media conferences, I get a chance to connect with online friends in real life and I also learn a great thing or two from industry leaders. Connecting with event sponsors is also a big plus. Celebrity sightings are known to happen every now and then! Pin Exchange, Photo Gift from HP, Business Cards from my new friends , Disney Treats, and THE Grumpy Cat caught napping! I was going to wake her but feared she would be PISSED OFF Cat instead of just Grumpy. The Disney On The Road event with the Disney Social Media Moms led me to Arizona this year. This event was held on June 25 and the venue was the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess 7575 E. Princess Drive Scottsdale, AZ 85255.  About 100 attendees were expected for this event, but I believe that a few had to miss the program due to unforeseen ci...

My Take on Disney's Maleficent

Last night I attended an early screening of Disney's Maleficent. I was very excited about the movie since attending the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration  earlier this year. During the conference, which was held at the Disneyland Resort, producer Don Hahn spent time with us to share information about the upcoming movie. We had a special sneak peek at an extended trailer.  We got such an early look at it that were were instructed not to share what we saw with our social networks. THAT was not an easy task! Hahn also introduced us to Elle Fanning who plays Princess Aurora.  She just had her 16th birthday and we got to celebrate by singing Happy Birthday to the young star. After she blew out her candles we all had cupcakes! A future post about that in in the works. Back to the movie... “Maleficent,” the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty,” reveals the events that hardened Maleficent’s heart and drove her to curse ...

On The Road In San Francisco With Disney Social Media Moms

I was among several very lucky women invited by Disney Social Media Moms to meet in San Francisco for the Disney On The Road Celebration .  I had my Cinderella moment!  I was thrilled to receive an invite to the ball!  I could not pass up the opportunity.  Soon after receiving the invitation in May, I began planning my trip.  It would be my first one since marriage and motherhood. I was full of excitement and worry.  I was giddy and guilt ridden all at once. It would be a short flight and I would only be away from home overnight. It was a really was a big deal for me! I've been married for nearly five years and a mommy for three of those years.  In my former career, I was an Internal Auditor for a national wireless company.  I worked for the corporate office and would travel across the states every other week or so to conduct week long audits. I'm not a stranger to travel and life on the road. As a single woman I thrived with this lifestyle. As...

Happy Halloween From Buzz Lightyear

Our son LOVES Toy Story! We have watched it so many times! Check out our little Buzz Lightyear! To infinity and beyond! Kids and their funny faces = THE BEST! We hope that you all have a fun and safe Halloween!

Oh October: The Hunt for Halloween Costumes

Hello October! Why the heck did you have to sneak up on me like that?!  It seems as if time flies even faster when you have a little one!  Our son is 2 going on 12!  Our photos from Halloween of last year gets me a little choked up! He was still my baby back then! Now he tells me that he is NOT a baby anymore.  He is a BIG BOY.  His Daddy's big boy. Here's my baby Yoda.  It was his first "trick or treating" experience.   He kept up with the bigger kids and had a great time.  This year his wants to be Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.  I was kind of hoping that he just might want to be a Ninja! He would fit nicely in his cousin's costume from last year! Nope. He definitely doesn't want to be a Ninja....  So Buzz Lightyear it is! Have you already picked up Halloween costumes for your kids? Or am I the only one who hasn't yet? Getting pointers from his Ninja Cousin Ready?! His haul:  Not bad for a first timer! NOTE...

Wordless Wednesday: Halloween 2011
