Join the SheKnows Media and Public Radio International #WomensLives Initiative as a Social Outreach Contributor

Today is an exciting day. February 3, 2015 is the official launch of the #WomensLives Initiative. The #WomensLives Initiative is a social publishing news incubator combining PRI’s in-depth enterprise reporting on women around the world with unprecedented outreach by SheKnows to impact conversation in news media—because women’s lives are newsworthy.

#womenslivesIn partnering with SheKnows Media and Public Radio International, I am joining a network of bloggers and social media influencers who are passionate about women's issues, and the value of journalism. I am thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking journalism project. I will be joining others in sharing stories and changing the conversation about women in news media. One of the goals of the initiative is to help amplify and start conversations around women's issues, and I hope that you will join in on the discussion. YOU are invited.

Message from Lisa Stone: "This effort officially launches Feb. 3, 2015. If you would like to participate in the conversation, we invite you to leverage our investment in the #womenslives hashtag to promote your own coverage of women's lives if it fits our description of coverage we want to celebrate, as well as help share stories you think matter."

I joined the initiative in most part due to the most amazing woman in MY life. My Mom. She is a saint and and a warrior. She has survived many things and endured more than I thought any woman could endure. Her grace and courage is an inspiration and reminder that women’s lives MATTER. Through her I have learned that we must speak up, speak out, and never be silent when we can make a difference to improve the life of another. It is for women like my mom that I will share my voice.

Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. I am voluntarily sharing my efforts as a social outreach contributor and partner. All opinions are my own.
