On Friday we had a party for my brother in law. Instead of a traditional birthday cake we had Sprinkles cupcakes! I SO wanted to dive into a chocolate one. I stuck with my weight loss goals & walked away from the temptation. I am becoming a willpower ninja these days!
Once upon a time chocolate was one of my weaknesses. NOT anymore! I just remind myself of how much weight I've lost...that really helps make it much easier. NOW, I just have to get myself back into the gym and yoga studio!
Those cupcakes look heavenly! :)
ReplyDeleteThose look delicious! Love the idea too. :) Ahh willpower against chocolate.. so hard. I've got to get my baby belly fat off. I want to start using Jillians 30 day shred video. I used that before I got prego with my second, and I went down a couple pant sizes in 1 month. It was hard though. :D Congrats on staying with the willpower. I think once it becomes a habit, it's easier to keep it up. :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, a Sprinkles cupcake. Not sure I would have withstood that pressure.
ReplyDeleteI have lost 10 lbs. since the beginning of December, though. I use a logging tool for food and exercise at www.caloriecount.about.com. It's helping me make better educated food choices (so I know what I'd be stuffing in my mouth with that cupcake).
Live healthy. Enjoy living! :)
Those cupcakes looks delicious! Good for you not overindulging. I used to be a chocoholic, and after lots and lots of practice, have become the "just a bite" girl. Satisfying and don't feel so gross afterwards. Those cupcakes would make it hard though!
ReplyDeleteThose cupcakes look delicious - and good job for holding out! I have a VERY rough time not eating stuff like that!
ReplyDeletegood for you!!! they look hard to resist!
ReplyDeleteYour willpower is amazing! Especially when those cupcakes spell temptation. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. I'm now a follower of yours. :)
WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby's B-Day was a lil bit ago and his Mom baked him a chocolate log cake--I didn't take a piece and AND he gave me grief about it!! "Just NOT worth the calories I told him" MORE for me was his responce... its sick how much junk he can eat and only gain a 1/2 a lb a year!!!!
BUT I totaly understand the feeling inside when your STRONG enough to say NO!!!
vB pal poping by =^D
Cynthia, it sounds like you've really made a shift in the way you see yourself and food - good for you!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I probably would have had four!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! And those cupcakes look absolutely delicious - I would have caved in if I had been there.
