L’Oréal Paris Magic BB Cream Review

L’Oréal Paris Magic BB Cream - 4 Beautifying Actions in 1:  Hydrates, Primes, Perfects, Corrects. I had the opportunity to try Magic BB Cream made by  L’Oréal Paris.  I received a full sized sample of the BB Cream in Medium 814. This was my first experience using a BB Cream and I was pleasantly surprised. By nature, I am a skeptic when it comes to product claims.  It's one of the reasons that makes product reviews fun for me.  I love when my skepticism is silenced.  This product works.  I like the effect.  The product dispenses as an ultra light lotion which is white in color and has barely visible "beatifying beads". After application the product adjusts to your coloration. I like that the end result it is a light finish because for day to day use I prefer not to look (or feel) overly made up.  The bare skin finish is perfect.  If I could change anything about the product I would only request MORE hydrating properties.  Since I am  41 years old  young, my skin n

Whale Watching

Last month my family and I enjoyed a brunch cruise in San Diego to celebrate my mom's birthday.  It was so much fun and the kids LOVED it!  I think that we are ready for another adventure on the water!  This time: Whale Watching!  Have you ever been whale watching? Newport Landing Whale Watching has served southern California for 30 years providing whale watching and dolphin cruises. Year around cruises view many varieties of whales including the giant blue whale which is over 80 feet in length (during the summer and fall months), finback whales, grey whales (winter and spring months), minke whales, humpback whales, several types of dolphin (including giant Rizzo dolphin over 14 feet in length), seals, and all sorts of other marine life. Newport Landing is located in Newport Bay, Newport Beach and only minutes from most of Southern California. Wh

Girl Scout Cookies in The 80's

Once upon a time I was a Girl Scout. I am sharing a picture as proof. Even though it was a lifetime ago, I still remember selling Girl Scout cookies.  My best customer = my parents.  We had boxes and boxes at our house long after the selling season!  In those days they were less than $2 a box. I now have nieces who are Girl Scouts and have purchased a good share of cookies.  I must say that I just don't enjoy the taste of them as much as I did long ago.  My all time favorite Girl Scout cookies were the Kookaburra's.  They were made by Burry-Lu and they were THE BEST! EVER.  It's a good thing that flavor has been retired otherwise I'd be buying up the whole lot!  The Thin Mints aren't quite the same these days either. Perhaps it's just my imagination.  Maybe my palate was easier to please during my youth.  If you remember Kookaburra's raise your hand! AND if you know where I can find a box (or 20) I'll buy them! If you have a daughter in that's

SunRype Fruit Snacks

Our family has recently been introduced to SunRype Fruit Snacks.  We received a nice assortment of products. I was excited to learn that SunRype offers selections that are all natural, free of artificial flavors or colors, and that my family enjoys them. We are big fans of fresh fruits and vegetables and try to incorporate the proper servings in our meals as well as during snack time.  For the times when we are out and about we do like to have snacks that travel well.  These treats fit the bill. They are especially convenient when heading to work and short on time to have breakfast.  I keep a few in my drawer at work for my afternoon pick-me-up. The varieties that we sampled were the SunRype Fruit Strips, Just Fruit and Grain, and Fruit Source 100% Fruit Bars in an assortment of flavors.  The family favorite was the SunRype Fruit Strips.
