Sharp Women's Health Conference 2012 - San Diego

Sharp Health Care has been presenting an annual health conference to the women of San Diego for more than 20 years. The Sharp Women's Health Conference  is quickly approaching and I am thrilled to share that this year I will be a first time attendee. There is so much information, inspiration, and opportunity to improve & enrich women's lives - all at this one event. I watched the video from last year and knew that I HAD to experience this for myself!  Take a moment to watch! I'm hoping that it will inspire you to join me! The conference is open for all women (at least 16 years old) who are interested in learning about their health and well being. The fee to attend the event is $45.  Tickets may be purchased  online  or or by calling 1-800-82-SHARP (1-800-827-4277). Your day will include keynote speakers; dozens of breakout sessions ; an exhibit hall of health screenings, informational, pampering and sponsor booths; continental breakfast and a gourmet three

Fashion Week San Diego 2012 Press Conference

The countdown to  Fashion Week San Diego  is now just  days  away.  The event will showcase local designers and is presented by  APA Business Consulting, Inc  along with a host of sponsors. On September 10, 2012 a press conference was held at  Roppongi Restaurant  in La Jolla, CA. It was an exclusive event for members of the press, many of whom are fashion & lifestyle  bloggers , to preview the artists' creations.  The intimate setting afforded the opportunity to see each piece up close. Gerald Labrador Videography , who specializes in wedding & event coverage, did a wonderful job at capturing the night. After chatting with Allison Andrews, Director of Fashion Week San Diego, it is apparent how truly passionate she is about this project. Blogalicious 2012

Hi, I'm Cynthia and I'm going to Blogalicous 2012 ! By this time next week I will be in Las Vegas attending my 2nd conference. I was lucky enough to attend BlogHer11 in San Diego (my hometown) and since then I have caught the bug for attending conferences. Admittedly, I am no where near where I would like to be in regards to my blog.  It has required an investment of time and heart to nurture a blog... Time that I simply haven't had. I am a wife and first time mom to a now 2 year old while holding down a full time job outside of the home. I have faced challenges.  The biggest of which is the challenge of TIME.  In the end, I always (ALWAYS) put family first , which left my blogging last on the list of priorities. I hope to find balance. This conference may help me find ways to do just that! I'm looking to learn and to improve! I do see the value in learning from those who are already established.  It is WONDERFUL how much helpful advice you can get by

Bad Blogger, Good Mommy

Well, my blog sucks but my life sure doesn't. I've been absent from posting and updating my blog. Instead, I've been fully involved in living happy moments with my family. A fair trade off for sure. There will be time later to catch up on blogging. Moments like this can't be missed!

Fashion Week San Diego Press Conference at Roppongi: OOTD

What do you wear to press conference highlighting Fashion Week?  Personally I wasn't sure what to wear. It was sweltering in San Diego that evening so I had a last minute change of wardrobe.  I didn't take an OOTD photo but was able to find a candid shot showing what I wore.  I had a great time and in the end it didn't matter how I was dressed! Stay tuned for my post on what fashions were featured at the preview event!  I'm very excited to share photos (as well as a video) of the sneak peek that members of the press were treated to!  It was an amazing showcase of the designer's creations! Pictured: Amie Wilde Assistant Director of  Fashion Week San Diego   I had a blast chatting with my new found blogging friends.  I was introduced to these lovely ladies at a  San Diego Blogger Meet up   not long ago. With VIP Press Passes in hand - we are looking forward to Fashion Week and will be blogging all about it! Bloggers: Farra , Tammy , Paulina , &

A Little Game of Hide and Seek?

You found me!  Olly olly oxen free ! OK let us END this game of hide and seek! Wow, it's been a while hasn't it?!  I'm still juggling work & home life...trying to pull it all together. I can't say that I am getting any better at it, but I TRY. I don't blog as much as I would like, but have been living life to the fullest. Hubby, son, and I are all doing well.  We have so many stories to tell but have been too "in the moment" to document it all via blog posts.  Little by little, it WILL happen. Here is a  fairly  recent family photo.  I love our son's "tough guy" expression (Whatchu lookin' at Willis?) and the cute little photo bomber in the stroller! Trying to squeeze in what I enjoy WITHOUT feeling guilty about it has been a journey. Taking small bits of "ME time" away from family time is taking some getting used to.  I am learning that it is necessary  and  good for everyone.  A refreshed Mommy & Wife is better
